Homiesexual is the attraction to people who are your homie. It is a term for attraction after a friendship has formed largely for people who previously thought they were heterosexual but then feel sexual attraction to a friend of the same gender. This term can be used as the person searches for new labels or on its own. It can be used by any gender and be attracted to any gender. The romantic counterpart is homiromantic.

It is similar to demisexual but the difference is this is the realization of attraction rather than attraction after an emotional bond. Those who are homiesexual may also identify as heteroflexible.

The homiesexual flag was created the same day the term was created. The pink represents attraction to women, the yellow represents attraction to friends and non-binary people, the white represents realization of attraction, the red represents love, and the blue represents attraction to men.
