    The homiesexual flag was created the same day the term was created. The pink represents attraction to women, the yellow represents attraction to friends and non-binary people, the white represents realization of attraction, the red represents love, and the blue represents attraction to men.

The pole itself represents the arrow on the symbol for Mars (♂), used to represent men. The symbol predates the flag and is still occasionally used today.
