Heteroflexible or Elasexual is a variant of Bisexuality that is occasionally used as a more accurate label for those that are attracted to the opposite sex and same sex, but feel a very strong lean towards the opposite sex, additionally, the term Homoflexible is used by those who feel the same way, but with a strong lean towards the same sex as opposed to the opposite sex. |

Heteroflexible individuals may also identify as straight, bisexual, or another pluralian identity. |

Both of these terms are controversial in the Bisexual community, and many view them as biphobic, due to the labels adding to the stereotype that, to be bisexual, you must experience a more or less, if not total, evenly split attraction to at least two genders. This is a common misconception about bisexuality, and is completely erroneous. |

The homosexual counterpart to heteroflexible is Homoflexible. The exclusively romantic counterpart to heteroflexible is Heteroflexromantic. |

Heteroflexible, or Elasexual, is a label describing an individual who is generally straight/heterosexual/heteroromantic and so primarily experiences attraction to the "opposite" or dissimilar gender[s], but is occasionally attracted to the same or similar gender[s].
When a heteroflexible individual does experience attraction to the same gender, the attraction may have more to do with the target of attraction themselves rather than the target's gender. This experience is common for heterosexual individuals in a relationship with a partner who has come out as the same gender (transgender) as them and whom they still want to be together with.
Heteroflexible individuals may also identify as straight, bisexual, or another pluralian identity.
The homosexual counterpart to heteroflexible is Homoflexible. The exclusively romantic counterpart to heteroflexible is Heteroflexromantic.
Kinsey Scale
The Kinsey Scale is a way to determine one's sexual preferences through a test. Once one takes the test, they will be given a score from 0-6; 0 being exclusively heterosexual, 6 being exclusively homosexual. Heteroflexible individuals will usually fall at about a 1 on this scale.
