Hedonesexual is an ace-spec identity that describes someone who experiences sexual attraction and/or wants a sexual relationship, but upon having sex, is unable to experience sexual pleasure. This might be because of a medical problem or past trauma. A person who is hedonesexual can also identify as other sexualities for their sexual attraction. Those who identify as hedonesexual may also identify as caedsexual.
History
This term was first coined by Rainstories on February 1st, 2021.
Etymology
The prefix hedone- comes from the Greek Goddess of pleasure, Hedone.
