A new flag was created on May 22nd, 2023 by Tumblr user mogai-animal, with new meanings and with a connection to the other more popular pet based gender flags. The flag has five stripes, like the catgender and doggender flags. The darker blue stripe is for feminine aligned/presenting hamstergender folks. The lighter blue stripe is for gender non-conformity and non-binary identities. the light yellow stripe is for gender hoarding, like how hamsters pack their cheeks with food. The lighter orange stripe is for gender aligning with hamsters, hamster toys, and food. The darker orange stripe is for masculine aligned/presenting hamstergender folks. And finally, the brown hamster in the center of the flag is for unity between hamstergender people and other pet-genders. |
