    • Mainly being attracted to non-binary individuals, but occasionally to men.

The romantic counterpart is halfromantic. The platonic counterpart is halfplatonic.

    History and Flag

The term was coined by FANDOM user MemeTiger21 " on September 5, 2021. It was coined through this page and has no outside resources aside from a post on LGBTA wikia confirming their creation of the page.

The halfsexual flag was created by the same user on the same date. Pink represents feminine genders, blue represents masculine genders, and gray represents genders that aren't binary. The alternate name "Plerusexual" was based off of "Plerugender" and was coined by Tumblr user yourartsycosmicdreamer on December 24th 2021, the main reason being so that the sexuality wouldn't be confused as an Ace-Spec orientation as "Half-Sexual" already exists is a common term in Ace-Spec spaces.

    Etymology

The word "pleru" comes from the Latin word "plerumque" meaning "mostly."
