Gender dysmorphia is characterized by one’s confliction between gender and sex in which a person thinks about one or more perceived defects or flaws in their appearance and body, while not essentially dysphoric.[1] Some examples of this may include:
- Having dysmorphia towards ones genitals, causing one to be transsex from it, while still being cisgender.
- Having dysmorphia towards the physical attributes that relates to ones gender, while not identifying with another gender.
- Having dysmorphia that overlaps with dysphoria.
- Having body dysphoria that causes dysmorphia towards gender/sex related attributes.
