The Gemgender flag was created by user CrystalOwl on February 5, 2022. The seven stripes represent the cardinal gems (amethyst, emerald, diamond, ruby, sapphire), in addition to silver and gold.
The flags meanings are as follows:
    TBA

The same user also created the Gemgirl and Gemboy flags at the same time. In these flags, the gem-colored stripes (with the exception of diamond) were replaced with colors that were color-picked from photos of pink/blue gems, as those are the colors commonly associated with femininity and masculinity.

Another flag was created by FANDOM User Olie1313131313 on January 15, 2022. There are no confirmed meanings.

Gemgender is a Xenogender in which an individual feels like their gender is connected to gems or precious metals. This can include anything that looks and/or feels and/or smells like a gem or precious metal. It can also include things like fake diamonds or fools gold.

The term can be used as a broad term or narrowed down, for example Diamondgender.

This gender was coined as a neutral gender, however binary gendered terms would be Gemgirl or Gemboy.

The term was not coined with a specific group in mind and can therefore be used by any individual.

    History

This term was coined by FANDOM user Jaderose35 on December 29, 2021.[1]

    Flag

The Gemgender flag was created by user CrystalOwl on February 5, 2022. The seven stripes represent the cardinal gems (amethyst, emerald, diamond, ruby, sapphire), in addition to silver and gold.
