Gecgender is a xenogender (specifically a musicagender) that is connected to, in some way influenced by, or otherwise related to the band 100 gecs. One can feel as if their gender is related to the band's wacky songs, their strange aesthetic, or a period of Tiktok in June 2020 that was filled with 100 gecs.

History

Gecgender was coined on or before July 15th, 2021 by twitter user celestialMidnight. The flag was posted was posted at the same time. ^[1]

Flags

The first flag was designed by celestialMidnight on or before July 15th, 2020. The meanings of the flag are red for Dylan, blue for Laura, light purple is stupid horse, dark purple is 800db cloud, green is the tree (and drugs), black is neurodivergence, and pink/yellow is chaos. ^[1]

The second flag was designed by bisexualawsten on or before August 16th, 2020. It has no confirmed meaning. ^[2]

The third flag was designed by col0urcore on or before September 4th, 2020. It has no confirmed meaning. ^[3]

The next flag was designed by an unknown user from twitter on or before November 16th, 2020. The meanings of the flag are dark green for the gec tree, neon green for money machine, light green for 1000 gecs, and pink/white/blue for Laura. ^[4]

The next flag was designed by arsenictoxicity on an unknown platform. It has no confirmed meaning.

The next flag was designed by tumblr user pupyzu, along with it's alternates on May 4th, 2021. It has no confirmed meaning. ^[5]
