Gamosexual, or Gamofictic is a fictosexual identity in which one has the exclusive or near exclusive attraction to video game characters. One who is gamosexual would find little to no attraction to real folkel. It falls under the a-spec identity.

Specific subsets of this could be labeled with the -fictic label. For example, an individual that is exclusively attracted to characters in Nintendo games would call themself nintendofictic, an individual exclusively attracted to characters in Legend Of Zelda would call themself LOZfictic, etc.

History

The term gamosexual was coined by a user going by Anderson from Cryptocrew's system on November 29th, 2020.

The gamosexual and gamoromantic flags were coined by FANDOM user Clear.Skyes on December 28th, 2020.

Gamosexuality vs Paraphillia

Gamosexuality is often confused with a paraphillia, however, this is by definition an incorrect case. Paraphillias are known as sexual disorders and harmful desires, often leading to the distress of the individual experiencing them and/or those around them.

Gamosexuality, however, does not usually cause harm, as it is simply a desire/attraction to one who does not exist outside of video games. In some cases, one who is gamosexual may feel levels of distress due to being unable to have sexual feelings for folkel in reality, however this does not mean that everyone who is gamosexual feels this way, nor does it mean gamosexuality is a negative experience.

Gamosexuality does not include attraction to harmful fictional tropes and those with harmful attractions are not the target group for gamosexuals.
