Fraynominal refers to when the name one uses is more likely to change the more one uses it. For example, one could feel a connection to a name and begin using it socially, but after a while of being referred to as that name, the connection is gradually broken. Because of this, a fraynominal individual may also be a namecollector and/or define themself as zilchnominal.

    History

The term was coined by FANDOM user Drip1leaf on September 30, 2021.[1]

    Flag

The fraynominal flag was created by FANDOM user IIAprionII on July 25, 2021. The red gradient is the loss of interest in one's name and a possible connection to femininity, androgyny, neutrality. The blue and gradient is also the loss of interest and a possible connection to masculinity, androgyny, and neutrality. The black is for unaligned names and the white is the complete loss of connection to a name.

The alternate flag was created by user ClassyRaven on November 1, 2021. The white represents newness, the grey represents uncertainty, black represents disconnection towards old names, orange represents freedom, and yellow represents identity.

    Etymology

The prefix fray- is from the Old English word for stranger.
