Favperromantic is a romantic orientation exclusive to individuals with borderline personality disorder (BPD).^[1]

Favperromantic refers to an individual whose romantic orientation is influenced by their BPD, causing them to feel exclusively attracted to their favorite person (commonly abbreviated as FP). A favperromantic individual does not feel romantic attraction towards anyone else.^[1] Favperromantic can be used alongside other romantic orientations, either by adding the additional term onto the Favper- prefix (like FavperLesbian), or just further specifying one’s romantic attraction (such as Favperromantic Panromantic).

This identity falls under the demiromantic umbrella. The sexual equivalent is Favpersexual.

History

The term was coined by the Astronomical Chaos Cluster on the 21st of July, 2022. Their Discord is Astronomical Chaos#8607 (handle may be outdated). Additional information about the term and its additions was added by the creator on The 11 of October, 2022.

Etymology

"Favper" is a portmanteau of "favorite" and "person". Favorite person is a term exclusive to those with borderline personality disorder.
