Errorgender, sometimes errorigender, is a xenogender relating to errors. Errorgender people experience gender as if it is a glitch and not meant to exist but does. It is under the kenochoric umbrella.
History
The term was coined by Tumblr user ender-hydra on or before July 2, 2020.[1]
The term has been redefined in similar ways by different people, and these similarities are brought up in conversations about errorgender.[2][3]
Flag
The first errorgender flag was created by Tumblr user mogaicraft on July 2, 2020[4] The flag has a red button with a white “x” in the center, reminiscent of the cancel or close out button in the corner of computer tabs. The background is a glitched pattern and over saturated version of the transgender pride flag.
