History
Discordgender was coined by Tumblr user @beyond-mogai-pride-flags on or before the 14th of September, 2019.[1]
Flags
The first discordgender flag was created by Tumblr user @beyond-mogai-pride-flags on or before the 14th of September, 2019. The outer stripes represent the colour of the Discord logo (at the time), the purple stripes represent Discordgirls and the blue stripe represents Discordboys.[1]
The second discordgender flag has no confirmed coiner or date. Apparently, the light-blue stripes represent homosexuals who identify as discordgender, the grey stripes represent gender non-conforming person(s) who identify as discordgender and the dark-blue stripe represents Discord users who identify with the app. This meaning is not confirmed.
The third discordgender flag was created by Twitter user @Zeeuox on the 3rd of February, 2021. The flag has no confirmed meaning, but was made without prior knowledge of the other flags existing.[2]
An alternative to this flag was created by Miraheze user DespOIcito on the 3rd of March, 2022.[3] This flag was created due to none of the existing discordgender flags containing the new Discord logo. The top blurple stripe is the current Discord blurple, the centre blurple stripe is a blend between the two shades, and the light blurple stripe is the previous Discord blurple. The red stripe is the colour of a Discord notification or ping.
