Dirtgender is a xenogender. Its original coining did not contain a definition.
A later coining of dirtgender defined it as a gender that is mainly centered around relating to mushrooms, crows, and rats, especially connected to rot, decay, and typically ‘dirty’ natural things.
History and Flags
Dirtgender was originally coined by the user mogaistuff on Tumblr, July 9th, 2020 and the dirtgender flag created by the same user on the same date.[1] The dark brown in the flag represents soil and neurodiversity, a lighter brown color ground and connection with earth, and green represents moss and growing love.
Dirtgender was unintentionally recoined by Tumblr user ratskullz, December 5th, 2020, who created their own dirtgender flag on the same date.[2] Green represents leaves, growth, fresh life, brown represents mushrooms, decay, death, and black represents crows and rats, and other typically “dirty” animals.
