Desinosexual refers to an ace-spec attraction where one does not experience full-on sexual attraction. They may experience visual attraction or other forms of attraction, but they do not experience complete sexual attraction. They may describe their attraction as "appreciating and feeling arousal directed at someone in particular but not desiring someone sexually", at which their attraction ends. It is similar to demisexual.
The romantic counterpart is desinoromantic.

Desinoromantic was coined and created on Tumblr sometime in August 24th, 2015. Desinosexual was created as the counterpart to desinoromantic on September 29th, 2021.
Flag
The flag was created by PennedWriterz on September 27th, 2021. The muted red being a color known as "desire," a color most often associated with sex and passion, grey for greysexuality, and purple for asexuality.
Etymology
The word desino itself comes from Latin, meaning "I leave" or "I stop."
