Demigirlflux is a combination of demigirl and girlflux. It is a term for when one's experience of gender includes a connection to femaleness but one's gender also fluctuates. At their most female, a demigirlflux individual feels like a demigirl. At their least female, they may feel like other genders or agender.

The term may also be be interpreted as someone who is partially, but not fully, girlflux.

Its male counterpart is demiboyflux. Its neutral counterpart is demigenderflux.

    Hemigirlflux

Hemigirlflux is a specific term for demigirlflux individuals who fluctuate between feeling zero and fifty percent girlflux. The closest they can be to girlflux is demigirlflux, and the furthest they can be is agender. While specifically a hemigender, hemigirlflux is a variation of demigirlflux.

    History

The first known use of the term is by Tumblr user goodpositivitylgbt on January 24, 2017.[1] It is unknown who coined the term and exactly when.

Hemigirlflux was coined by FANDOM user AkoiFish on September 16, 2020.[2]

The colors are slightly muted because demigirls are never fully female.

The current demigirlflux flag was created by TikTok user Vampiirekid sometime between April and September 2020.[4][5]

An alternate demigirlflux flag was created by Tumblr user flagify on October 8, 2020 at the request of an anon.[6] Another alternate demigirlflux flag was created by Tumblr user orientationgender on December 20, 2020.[7]
