Dandelion transgender is a term for transgender individuals who only plan on transitioning socially. This term can include changes to hair, outfits, names and pronouns, and presentation. Dandelion transgender encompasses all forms of transgenderism, including, but not limited to, transmasculine; transfeminine; and transneutral. This term is inclusive of all forms of masculinity/femininity/neutrality, especially of different cultures’ interpretations of the three, and supports transgender individuals of all backgrounds, identities, and labels.
History
Dandelion transgender was coined on April 18, 2022 by Tumblr user mogai-sunflowers.[1]
