Crustaceanic (Also known as Crustaceaphiles) is a xenogender in which an individual feels an extremely strong emotional connection to crustaceans, like crabs, lobsters, shrimp, and the like. They may also feel a strong bond to other sea creatures in general, as they feel deep ties to ocean life in general. It may also be used by people who are kin, Therian, or animalkin with sea-creatures. Thus, it may also be a kingender .

History

The term Crustaceanic/Crustaceaphile was coined on March 21st, 2021 by Tumblr user crawfishcuties. The alternate term with the -phile prefix can be perceived by some as zoophilic in nature, however it may be a case of a misnomer, as Crustaceanics do feel quite fond towards crustaceans, but not in a sexual manner.
