    Corugender, alternatively known as flashgender, is a gender identity that is affected by trauma/mental health related flashbacks. It changes during and around flashbacks. For example, one may be male when not experiencing a flashback but non-binary when experiencing one.

    This is a neurogender and is exclusive to people with PTSD or any other mental illness that causes flashbacks.

    Etymology

    Corugender comes from the Latin word coruscans, meaning flash.

    History and Flag

    Corugender was coined on or before August 10, 2014, by now deactivated Tumblr user gmaora and posted via mogai-archive on Tumblr.[1] The flag was designed by Pride-Flags on DeviantArt on September 9, 2015.[2]
