    Complex Quad or Double Triad describes a type of quad polyamorous relationship structure in which those involved form two triads. For example: A, B, and C are dating. At the same time B, C, and D are all dating. However A and D are not dating. It can also be visualized as a relationship that is almost a full quad, except there is one pairing of people who are not in a relationship with each other.

    The term plus one polyamory was coined on February 11, 2021 by Cryptocrew. Double triad was created by Chaoticcylinder on April 16, 2021 as an alternate term. The flag was created by Cryptocrew on February 1, 2021. Light blue represents peace, dark blue represents consent, white represents unity, purple represents attraction (of any kind), green represents kindness, and yellow represents dedication.
