Clitoromegaly or macroclitoris is condition in which one has a clitoris larger than expected, possibly resembling a small penis.[1][2] This is a description, rather than a diagnosis. It can be congenital or acquired. This is typically as a result of exposure to testosterone in AFAB individuals, either in the womb or later in life. If it is congenital or is caused by a hormonal imbalance it can be considered a condition of intersex and a form of ambiguous genitalia.
It is also often seen in transgender men who take hormone replacement therapy.
