The original and offical brightgender flag

Brightgender is a group of xenogender identities that describe someone's gender as bright, colorful, and chaotic. They can also be used to describe someone whose gender is based on the brightness level.

Brightgenders may be used in combination with other genders. Genders that fall under brightgender include brightboy, brightgirl, brightneutral, brightagender, brightfluid, brightnonbinary, brightxenogender, and brightmaverique.

    History

The term was coined by FANDOM user AceTheSpace (AceDaSpace on Twitch/AceInDaSpace on Tumblr) on August 31, 2021, when they had trouble finding the correct gender identity for them.
