Blackcatgender is a xenogender for people that feel a connection to black cats. It's a subgender of catgender, and was made with neurodivergent people in mind, but it's not neurodivergent-exclusive.
History
The term was coined by Twitter user gendertale on January 11th, 2021.[1]
Flag
The flag was also made by gendertale in the original coining post, featuring one with and without a cat symbol. The first black stripe stands for a love of the colour black, the first purple stripe is for a love of mystery, the yellow stripe is for a connection to black cats and cats in general, the second purple stripe is for neurodivergence and the final black stripe is for an unique relationship with gender.[2]
