Biflexible is a term for someone who identifies primarily as bisexual, but whose identity and/or attraction is flexible. These individuals are usually attracted to two or more genders, but might experience occasional changes in the specific genders, number of genders, preference of genders, etc. that they are attracted to. In addition to bisexual, biflexible individuals may identify as vincian, lesbian, other m-spec identities (such as omnisexual), ace-spec identities (such as demisexual) or other orientations depending on their current and potential attractions. Biflexible can be similar to biflux and abrosexual and is a counterpart of homoflexible and heteroflexible.

This term is often confused with bicurious, which refers to someone who isn't bisexual, but is curious in exploring a potential attraction to members of two or more genders.

    History

It is unknown who coined this term, although it has existed since or before March 10, 2018.

    Flag

The biflexible flag was created on March 10, 2018 by arco-pluris on Tumblr.[1] It consists of a bisexual flag background with a panflux flag column in the middle. The background can be substituted for other bi-oriented (biaffective or biaffectional) flags and the column can be substituted with an applicable orientation flag.
