Benevoid is a xenogender "that reads as a contradiction. It is a gender that is definitely there, though it is only at the forefront of the mind if pushed there, but it consists of the void. It’s more than neutral - it’s nothing and it’s a purposeful gender of nothing.

Benevoid was coined on November 15, 2017 by tumblr user genderlist. The flag was designed by FANDOM user Reign of the breadsticcs on April 11, 2021.

The structure of the flag represents a void that is voidlike but not in and of itself empty, and the blue represents purpose and deep goodness, representing a void encompassing positive purpose while still maintaining itself as a void.
