    The bellusromantic flag.
    Simplified flag
    The original bellusromantic flag

Bellusromantic is a micro-label on the aromantic spectrum defined as having interest in traditionally romantic things, such as kissing or cuddling, but not feeling romantic attraction, and not wanting a romantic relationship. A bellusromantic individual may enjoy or desire these activities in non-romantic contexts, but does not enjoy them in the context of a romantic relationship.

The sexual counterpart to bellusromantic is bellussexual.

    History

Bellusromantic was coined by an anonymous user on or before June 26, 2016.[1]

    Flag

The original flag was presumably designed by the coiner on or before June 26, 2016.[1] The color meanings are currently unknown.

The primary flag was designed by Mod Hermy on Tumblr account Beyond-MOGAI-Pride-Flags on June 26, 2016.[1] The colors were taken from/inspired by the original flag.

The alternate flag was designed by Wikia FANDOM user Hypnott on November 15, 2020. The flag is a simplified version of the primary flag.[2]

    Etymology

The prefix "bellus-" comes from the Latin word "bella," meaning "pretty".
