Autonine is a term to describe gender qualities that are specific to a person. It is to be used to describe gender (such as egogender), gender presentation, and other gendered attributes like actions. It is to explain the experience of not relating to other terms like masculine, feminine, neutral or other terms but simply being oneself. It is not exclusive however and can overlap with other terms. Like somebody could consider themselves somewhat masculine and somewhat something else that is specific to themselves.

Autonine shares similarities with terms like neutral, outherine, & xenine. Autonine differs from neutral as even though both are seperate from the masculine to feminine binary, neutral is an attribute that could be shared between multiple people, albeit differently. Autonine is more similar to outherine as it is something seperate to the gender trinary but just like neutral, outherine could be a term shared by multipe people with similar experiences, albeit with minor differences. Autonine could be considered a subset of outherine. Autonine differs from xenine as xenine can be described with or relating to external influences, and while autonine could overlap with this, autonine is purely internal.

    History
