The term was first coined on December 26th, 2019 by the Tumblr user nbgenders[1] The definition was later revised.[2]
Flag
The original flag was also made on December 26th, 2019, by nbgender. The purple represents fluidity between neutral genders, white represents lack of gender or agender, yellow represents happiness and joy, black represents neutral genders, and orange represents non-binary genders. An alternative asterfluid flag was made on August 11th, 2020 based on a genderfluid flag redesign made by lgbtpn[3]. Yellow for nonbinary genders in general, white for a lack of gender, purple for feminine/masculine-aligned genders(not including manhood or womanhood), black for fluidity, and orange for neutral genders.
