    The arogender flag.

Arogender is a gender that is connected to or is heavily influenced by one being aromantic or aro-spec. Arogender can be a stand alone gender or it can be use in combination with any other gender to show that one's experience of that gender is heavily influenced by one's aro-spec identity. For example one could be an arogender demiboy.

One's gender can be influenced by one's aromantism in many ways. One of the most common ways is that one does not feel full connected to womanhood because femininity is often heavily tied with romance and “love". Or one may feel that they do feel fully connected to a gender because of society’s amatonormative expectations of that gender.

Many aro-spec people are gender non-conforming for similar reasons.

    History

The term arogender was coined by Tumblr user Arokaladin on April 16, 2018 after the term was suggested by two anonymous asks[1].

    Flag

The arogender flag was designed as a collaborative effort from Tumblr users Aroacearborvitae, Aromagni, and Arokaladin, and was posted on April 24, 2018. The color correspondences are as follows: green for aromanticism, it is at the top because of its importance to the gender, blue for masculinity, purple for non-binary people, pink for femininity, and white for a lack of gender, or agender people, white is also a color for the aromantic flag, in addition to green[2].
