'''Arcadegender''' is an [[aesthetigender]] that is related to arcadecore and flashy colors. This includes arcade games, aesthetics, lightings, sounds, music, etc. One may feel as though their gender in of itself is an arcade, or they may feel as though their gender fits best within an arcade.

''“Arcadegender !! The gender for someone who feels connected to arcades in some way !! Maybe you feel connected to the bright patterns on the carpets. Maybe it’s the fluorescent lights some arcades had. Maybe it’s the freedom your parents gave you with the money you had to split between food and change for the arcades games. Arcadegender people that have anxiety or neurodivergence can also feel connected to the joystick and buttons on the machines, which they may like to fidget with.”'' - Cactusgarbaage, describing arcadegender in the coining post.

Arcadegender is an aesthetigender that is related to arcadecore and flashy colors. This includes arcade games, aesthetics, lightings, sounds, music, etc. One may feel as though their gender in of itself is an arcade, or they may feel as though their gender fits best within an arcade. They may also feel connected to the bright patterns on the carpets, the fluorescent lights in some arcades, or the freedom they were given with the money that had to be split between food and change for the arcade machines.

Arcadegender people that have anxiety or are neurodivergent may also feel connected to the joysticks and buttons on the machines, which they may like to fidget/stim with.

    History

Arcadegender was coined by Twitter user @Cactusgarbaage on the 9th of September, 2020, due to surprise that the gender did not already exist. [1]
