    The flag was designed by Tumblr user Wavership on December 6, 2018. The flag was inspired by suggestions from Tumblr user uncommongenders and some anonymous users. The flag is similar to the [[apothisexual]] flag, with the top and bottom of the "x" cut off and the colors changed.

    The alternate flag was designed by the same user on the same date. It is based off the apothisexual flag, with the colors changed, and a different stripe pattern.

    Another alternate flag was designed by FANDOM user [[User:Enby-Pal|Enby-Pal]] on November 8, 2020. The flag's color meanings are currently unknown.

    Apothigender is a term for agender and otherwise genderless individuals, and possibly pomogender and cassgender individuals too, who are repulsed by the concept of having a gender or having the concept of gender applied to them.

    Apothigender can be combined with other genders such as apothiboy, apothigirl, etc, to show that one is repulsed by the thought of being that specific gender, or having others believe they are that specific gender.
