Panagender, also known as apangender, librapangender,[1] panlibragender,[2] or pxngender, is a gender that is both agender and pangender and/or somewhere between those identities. Panagender is an identity that is connected to all genders, but also has a connection to genderlessness/agender feelings. This may also be described as a pangender individual who feels they have no gender identity or a null gender identity, or an agender individual having some connection to pangenderness. It can also include those who experience all libragenders accessible to them.

Similar terms are pangenderless, demiagender, demipangender, and omnagender.

    History and Flags

Panagender and the primary flag were coined by mod arco-pluris on the Tumblr blog beyond-mogai-flags on August 2, 2018.[3] However, the term panagender was already in use since at least April 2018.[4] The flag's color meanings are currently unknown, but the flag seems to be a combination of the agender flag and the pangender flag.

The alternate flag was designed by Tumblr user neopronouns on January 14, 2021 as a request from an anonymous user.[5] The flag's color meanings are currently unknown.

The third flag was made by Tumblr user felix-makes-flags on December 11th, 2021.[6]

    Etymology

The prefixes pana- and apan- are combinations of the prefixes for agender and pangender. Librapan- is a mixture of the prefixes for pangender and libragender, a gender identity that is partially agender and partially another gender. Pxn- is a derivative of the prefix pan-, where the a is replaced with an x as if one is crossing out that they're pangender, which is common practice for agender identities. Panagender was also coined before apangender, meaning "a gender that encompasses many things at once".[7]
