    The anthrosexual flag.

Anthrosexual refers to someone who is attracted to humans and alterhumans regardless of their gender identity/expression. The term avoids referencing a particular sexual orientation or predilection towards a particular gender.[1]

Anthrosexual and pansexual might be used interchangeably. The prefix pan- means "all" and anthro- means "humanoid," so the word anthrosexual might be considered easier to understand for individuals who don't know either term.

Another use of anthrosexual could come from someone having a fictosexual or fictoromantic identity as well (eg. anthrosexual cartosexual, the attraction to cartoon characters so long as they’re human/alterhuman). So although anthrosexual alone means attraction to humans and alterhumans regardless of gender, anthrosexual combined with a fictosexual identity may not include all genders (eg. lesbian anthrosexual-animatesexual).

    Flag

The anthrosexual flag was created by DeviantArt user SaffronMasalathekiwi on February 20, 2018.[2] The three stripes represent the following: blue/green for being attracted to the same gender, purple for being attracted to the opposite gender, and white for being attracted to other genders.

    Etymology

Anthro- is an alternative form of anthropo- which comes from Greek and means "human," "humanoid," and "human-like."
