Nonaesthetic, A-aesthetic, or Acethetic, is a form of attraction where one does not feel [[Aesthetic Attraction]] towards any gender. They can still be romantically or sexually attracted to someone, but their attraction does not revolve around ones appearance.▼

One may abbreviate the term anaesthetic to anae, nonaesthetic to nonae, and a-aesthetic to aae; one may abbreviate the ansthetic spectrum to ae-spec.

One of the earliest known uses of the term "aesthetic attraction" among [[Asexual|asexuals]] was in 2005 on the AVEN forums. Since then, it has commonly been included in lists of subtypes of attraction. It is unknown when nonaesthetic attraction was brought up.
