Anesisexual is a term for someone who knows what their sexuality is deep down, but identifies as something else for comfort. For example, a girl who is finsexual might say they are lesbian to avoid confusion, or having to explain their identity multiple times. The gender version is Anesigender.
History
The term was coined on February 6th, 2021 by fandom user Definitelynotanalien (prompted by fandom user OHappiDay)

Etymology
The prefix Anesi- is derived from the Greek word άνεση (ánesi) which means comfort.
