It is a subcategory of [[demisexual]]ity where one only develops a sexual attraction to people whom they have a [[Platonic Attraction|platonic relationship]] with. This is different from the standard definition of demisexuality because demisexual can apply to any sort of bond or long-term interaction. Some demisexual people may start experiencing attraction just by being in someone's presence repeatedly for extended periods, such as a classmate or co-worker. Demisexual people may also form a sexual relationship with someone because they anticipate the attraction coming and they do not mind non-attracted interactions.
