Ametoric is a sexuality on the Asexual Spectrum where one currently does not want to have sex but plans to later in life. This does not mean that one does not like the concept of sex or does not think about sexuality/sex, they just do not want to have sex. This could be caused by many factors, such as past trauma, age difference, and other reasons for being unready to have sex. This also means that the individual is still free to have romantic relationships, and even sexual ones, but without having sex.
Etymology
The term Ametoric was coined by Fandom User Corgimations on February 15th, 2021. The word originates from the prefix “a-“ meaning Asexual, the “met” originating from the prefix “meta-“ meaning future, referring to future plans to be sexual and the “toric” originating from “historic”, referring to how the individual’s current feelings and unwillingness to have sex will become a thing of the past.
Flag
The Ametoric Flag was designed by Fandom User Corgimations on February 15th, 2021. The Flag contains 5 horizontal stripes of blue, gray, white, black and purple. The blue represents the mind and choices, the gray represents the phase of being in between having sex and not having sex, along with being indecisive and ambiguous. The white represents the current state of purity. The black represents contradiction between being pure and impure, along with sometimes having a dark past for those who have had PTSD. The purple represents asexuality and pride.
