    The amaregender flag.

Amaregender is a micro-label for genderfluid people whose gender identity changes based on whom they are attracted to or in love with. Any type of attraction may influence an amaregender person's gender identity.

    Etymology

The prefix for this term comes from the Latin verb amare[1] meaning "to love".

    History

There is no resource for the term's original creator, but the earliest record of the term can be found from August 2, 2015 on the Tumblr blog nonbinary-school-survival.[2] It is unclear if they were the original creator of the term or not, or were compiling a list of gender terms. The flag was created by Pride-Flags on Deviant Art on September 9, 2015, but has no confirmed meaning.[3]
