Aclarus is not a gender within itself; rather, it is a descriptor that specifies an inability to distinguish one's actual gender due to trauma. This can be any variety of trauma and any kind of trauma disorder, like religious trauma, DID, OSDD, UDD, PTSD, etc. It is exclusively for survivors.
Related Terms
Aclarus can be used in conjunction with other trauma-related terms like obligender or caedogender. It falls under the neurogender umbrella.
Flag and Etymology
"Clarus" is Latin for "clear", and the prefix a- means "without" or "lacking". combined, it means a lack of clarity.
Although the original creator did not disclose the meanings of the flag, some inferences can be made. The pink and blue background, with the blur in between, represents the binary genders. The shattered glass effect conveys the haze trauma causes.
