The abroplatonic flag was coined by a user going by Alex on December 28th, 2020. It is based off of both the abrosexual and platonic attraction flags. The yellow flower represents platonic bonds, as friendship is often represented by yellow roses. The blue raindrops represent fluidity in attraction, as fluidity is often associated with liquid or water. The greens represent lack of platonic attraction, the white represents mild platonic attraction, and the pink represents strong platonic attraction.
== Etymology ==
The prefix ''abro-'' is derived either from the Ancient Greek word ''ἁβρός'' (habrós) or its Modern Greek descendant ''αβρός'' (avrós), meaning "delicate" or "graceful".

Abroplatonic refers to an individual whose platonic attraction is changing or fluid. For example, someone could be homoplatonic one day, then be aplatonic the next, then biplatonic the next. The timing of these changes is different for every person; for some the changes may be erratic and for others they may be regular. It is the platonic equivalent of abrosexual and abroromantic.
History
It is unclear when Abroplatonic was coined, however, it has been referenced on multiple occassions, most commonly within Tumblrs tags.
