Aboy is a gender identity which can be described as an agender-identfying person who prefers to be or has no trouble being perceived as a boy or a masculine-presenting person. Aboy is not to be confused with demiboy or libramasculine; where demiboy is described as a person who partially identifies as a male, aboy strictly identifies with being agender but allows or prefers to be perceived with masculine traits. Libramasculine is a person who identifies as mainly agender, but with a small connection to masculinity or manhood. An aboy would feel no connection to manhood, but allows or prefers to be perceived as masculine.

    The Feminine equivalent is Agirl.

    History

The term was coined by Discord user Monarch on the 11th of June 2021.

    Flags

Two flags, a lighter and darker variant, were created by Discord user Monarch on the 11th of June 2021.

The black/dark grey (#111111 or #222222) represents the absence of gender while the blue (#6fa8dc) represents a preferred Masculine presentation.

The flag is two black stripes, one blue stripe, and two black stripes. This is to emphasise the agender aspect.
