The general flag for genders with the "-comfic" suffix, made by Tumblr user neopronouns.

The suffix "-comfic" is used for genders that relate to one's comfort object, piece of media, food, concept, or another thing. These are things that are comforting and induce positive emotions that individuals may specifically seek out when feeling negative emotions, such as a television show, movie, book, character, meal, or game. Neurodivergent individuals generally use this, but it is not exclusive to them.

    History and Flags

The "-comfic" flag template by Tumblr user neopronouns.

Tumblr blog neopronouns created the suffix and concept on June 5th, 2021. Ey also created a general flag for the suffix and a template for other "-comfic" term flags, which other term coiners have used.[1]
