¿gender is a gender that cannot be described in the English language, due to the lack of words and associations appropriate to explain it.
Exclusive to Latine/Latinx/Hispanic people; the inverted question mark is found only in Spanish (both in Spain and in Latin America) and in languages that have cultural ties to it, such as Galician, Asturian, and Waray.
The flag was originally designed by Mod Hermy of the ask-pride-color-schemes tumblr, and was chosen from the scraps by an anonymous user[2], who added the question marks and later assigned the following meanings to the stripes.[3]
- Pink - Feminine/Female identities
- Green - Agender identities
- White - Nonbinary identities
- Orange - Bigender identities
- Blue - Masculine/Male identities
