Troposphenic is a term used to show how close or far one is from the gender binary. Troposphenic describes someone who considers themselves to be immediately proximal to the gender binary. They are very close to one or both binary genders without actually being a binary gender. For example, one might be a troposphenic lunarian, or a troposphenic proxvir.
Other terms in this system are stratosphenic, mesosphenic, thermosphenic, and exosphenic.
History
Troposphenic was coined on December 17, 2019 by Tumblr user Biohazardmogai.[1] The original flag was created at the same time. The term troposphenic comes from the word troposphere, the layer of the atmosphere closest to Earth. The flag with the cloud was an edit made by Tumblr user hadalpelagic--zone on the same day.[2]
