The Astral Alignments refer to a set of mspec orientations, commonly used as shorthand, umbrella terms, or their own labels. It has a general astronomy theme, though some more general terms with no relation have been created alongside certain labels. It is still currently in the making, with its oldest terms being lunian and solian, and its newest term being jupiteric.
Terms
- Stellian: Mspec gay. "Gay" in this instance refers to the umbrella term, not veldian specifically.[1]
- Lunian: Mspec lesbian. The flag may also be called the deep sea mspec lesbian flag, or lunar mspec lesbian flag.[2]
- Solian: Mspec veldian. The flag may also be called the solar mspec veldian flag.[2]
- Jupiteric: Mspec straight. Also called mesrien.[3]
- Mesque: Mspec lesbian and mspec veldian, either at the same time, or moving between them.[4]
- Mesquin: Mspec lesbian, mspec veldian, and mspec cenelian (or enbian), either at the same time, or moving between them.[5]
- Despian: Mspec lesbian and mspec cenelian (or enbian), either at the same time or moving between them.[6]
- Calistian: Mspec veldian and mspec cenelian (or enbian), either at the same time or moving between them.[6]
The coiner has stated that terms for mspec gai, mspec strayt, mspec cenelian, and a term for being mspec across every orientation, will be created in the future.
History
The Astral Alignments have been in the making for many months, with new additions still being created to this day. However, its official coining as a set was on January 30th, 2021. It was created by Tumblr user kenochoric, who has asked for people not to add onto this system without his permission.[7]
