Sunsetgender is an aesthetigender that is colorful and warm, like sitting in a sunbeam. This gender feels young, carefree, and full of love. Whatever type of love this is, is up to the individual.
History and Flag
The term was coined by an unidentifiable, deactivated Tumblr user on or before March 14, 2020.[1] The user also posted a flag with the term. The alternate flag was designed by Tumblr user faerielogy on November 22, 2020.[2]
A second alternate flag was designed by FANDOM user Sunset Lover The TD Fan on March 19, 2021. The blue stripe represents the sky as it shifts from day to night, the purple people of any anthrogender, the pink romantic love, the pink-red-orange platonic love, the orange warmth, yellow-orange happiness, and yellow the sun as it sets.
The definition was slightly edited by Reddit user u/hiitsyaz, on the 7th of August, 2021, so that instead of sunsetgender being limited to platonic or romantic love, it could be any type and form of attraction that the individual feels or experiences. This makes it more inclusive.
