Stellian refers to anyone who is mspec gay. A stellian person may be solian (mspec veldian), lunian (mspec lesbian), mspec cenelian, or mspec gay as an umbrella term. Stellian may be used as an umbrella term for all mspec gay people, it may be used as shorthand for mspec gay, or it may be used as a label on its own. This can be either because the user does not want to specify, does not identify with labels like lesbian or veldian, or because they prefer the word gay and/or stellian.
Unlike the other terms that go along with this one, such as solian and lunian, stellian is for anyone who considers themselves gay, regardless of specifics. This term may be preferred for nonbinary people, people who use gay but don’t exactly fit into lunian or solian, or any mspec lesbian/veldian who just prefers this label.
History
Stellian was made on January 18th, 2021 by Tumblr user kenochoric.[1] The flag, which has no known stripe meanings, was made at the same time. It is part of the astral alignments, which is a large collection of mspec terms, such as solian, lunian, mesque, and many others.[2]
Due to stellian being shorthand for all mspec gay people, the term stelliphobia is often used to describe anti-mspec gay sentiment.
