    Puretécentia (pronounced pew-de-tay-sen-tia) is a term for those who are too young to understand their gender, sexuality, romantic orientation, and/or general identity. This term could describe a child or otherwise young individual without expecting them to understand their attraction or gender. Some examples include, but are not limited to...

    • An AFAB or AMAB child who does not understand the concept of the gender pushed onto them.
    • An UAB or AXAB child who lives their life without any roles without even being aware that gender roles exist.
    • A child who does not understand the concept of pronouns.
    • An innocentsexual child who does not understand the concept of gender and has crushes regardless.

    This term is not a label or identity, but rather used as a description to describe someone who fits in this roles. For example, calling a child "innocent" as a description. This term can also be used by/for age regressors, littles in systems, and labels similar.

    Puretécentia was coined by Cryptocrew on February 8th, 2021 and was officialized and named on February 10th, 2021.

    Flag

    The flag was coined by Cryptocrew on February 10th, 2021. Yellow represents pronouns, pink represents romance, purple represents gender, blue represents identity, red represents sexuality, green represents nature and education/learning, and white represents innocence and purity. The figure represents childhood and children and the flowers represent beauty and growth.

    Etymology

    "Pureté" is the French word for "Purity", while "Centia" comes from the Latin word for "innocence", "innocentia".
