Puppykitgender is a xenogender and faunagender describing someone whose gender has an extremely strong connection to both cats and dogs, or someone whose gender is fluid between its connection to cats and dogs, while mostly being connected to dogs. One might feel entirely pupgender while still relating to cats in a substantial way. Alternatively, one might feel pupgender and only partially catgender. Puppykitgender can be described as graceful yet playful, quiet yet energetic, confident yet small, etc. Depending on the qualities of one's gender, one might also identify as paradoxigender.
History
The term was coined by Tumblr user synpa-tee on August 10, 2021. The flag was made by the same user on the same day. It was created as a dog-leaning equivalent of kittypupgender.[1]
Flag
The puppykitgender flag combines the last three stripes of the pupgender flag with the first three stripes of the alternate inclusive catgender flag. There are six stripes: a blue stripe, an orange stripe, a yellow stripe, a light pink stripe, a pink stripe, and a purple stripe. There is a white paw print in the center, similar to the inclusive catgender flag. Most pupgender flags also include a paw print.
